Types of Indian Tourist Visa

  3. 5-Year Tourist Visa: Offers prolonged flexibility, valid for 5 years from the date of issuance.

Note: Maximum stay in India on any tourist visa, electronic or paper, is limited to 180 days in a calendar year.

Application Process

  1. Online Application Form:
  • Initiate your visa application process.
  • Precisely complete individual online application forms.
  • Verify information before submission, as changes are not allowed post-submission.
  • Retain the automatically generated Application ID for future communications.
  1. Photo Requirements
  • Upload a JPEG format photo (10 KB to 300 KB) with a plain light-coloured or white background.
  • Full face, front view, eyes open, and no shadows on the face or background.

3. Appointment Scheduling

  • Each applicant schedules a separate appointment with the Indian Mission.

4. Filling the Online Application Form:

  • Access the Visa Application system at Indian Visa Online.
  • Select the preferred Indian Mission.
  • Fill out the standardized online application form.
  • After submission, the system generates an Application ID for further communication.
  • Choose ‘Yes’ for appointment and online payment, or ‘No’ for printing the form and in-person submission.

5.  E-Payment and Appointment:

  • For ‘Yes’ respondents, schedule an appointment and make payments online.
  • If e-payment isn’t available, print the form and submit it, along with fees, to the concerned Indian Mission.
